In the context of London 2012 Olympics, the insight out GmbH was commissioned to build a high ropes course as a qualification park for the Swiss representative "House of Switzerland". In the middle of the City of London at the banks of the River Thames, this project was built and completed in just 3 days. On 20 July 2012, the High Ropes Course was opened as a "training preparation" for a visit to Switzerland. Successful climbers could win a trip to Switzerland. More information about the presentation of Switzerland as part of the 2012 Olympics can be found at www.houseofswitzerland.org.
The brief was to build a high ropes course in a small temporary building, 60 square meters in size, to impart the visitors the physical requirements of the Swiss mountains. Following the idea to give the visitors a realistic experience the client decided to implement a 4 stops climbing wall, cramp stairs, loop run and as descent a cats ladder.
